Julie Jiang - Principal Technology Lawyer

I was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2014 and have built a diverse legal career spanning private practice, in-house roles at international companies, and within the NSW Government. This breadth of experience gives me a unique perspective on both the legal and business challenges tech companies face at every stage of growth.

I help tech companies move fast without legal friction. Unlike traditional lawyers, I’ve spent years in the tech trenches: I’ve built my own business, written production code, and collaborated closely with engineering teams. I understand not just the law, but how technology products are built, scaled, and delivered.

I specialise in working with startups and medium-sized tech companies on commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, IP protection, privacy and data compliance, and strategic legal planning. Because I know the pressures of product development, investor relationships, and engineering culture, I can translate legal requirements into practical advice that supports business goals rather than slowing them down.

Whether you’re negotiating complex software contracts, raising capital, or scaling your platform globally, I provide guidance that aligns with your business strategy and help you innovate safely and efficiently.
